What makes Swizzles special

Swizzles is a cosy basement bar on Queen Street, just a few steps from Parliament Hill. It explicitly sees itself as a judgement-free place for everyone. Swizzles is known for its karaoke, run by Dog and Pony Sound on three nights, which is by far the most mentioned topic in the reviews.

There is also stand-up on Mondays, drag on Thursdays and dance nights with goth-industrial and darkwave on Saturdays. On Sunday afternoons, Yard Sale Bingo invites you to play along.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the crowd very mixed, with many students meeting long-time regulars. Guests praise the friendly staff, who are happy to give beer recommendations. With 4.6 stars from more than 500 reviews, Swizzles is one of the city’s most popular bars.
