What makes Celebrities special

The building on Davie Street was designed in 1908 by architect Thomas Hooper and has been a place for dancing ever since: a dance school, a rock club, a psychedelic concert stage with performances by The Doors and Janis Joplin. Since 1987 it has been called Celebrities and has been a community meeting place in the Village. Today Blueprint runs the club together with the Kerasiotis family.

The dance floor is large, with a high ceiling and strong light and sound. On Tuesdays there is Celebs Tuesdays with local DJs and cheap drinks, on Fridays hip-hop and R&B, on Saturdays house and techno. There are also drag shows and dedicated parties during Pride in August. Entry from age 19; bring two pieces of ID.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mixed and young, lots of students, plus long-time regulars. The DJs, the music and the dance floor get praise in the Google reviews.
