What makes The Peel special

The Peel is in Collingwood, the traditional nightlife district of the gay scene north of the city centre, on the corner of Peel Street and Wellington Street. There are several bars, a dance floor under a huge disco ball and a courtyard to catch your breath.

On Fridays, under the motto “Pop. Club. Camp.”, it is mainly pop and camp; on Saturdays DJs play club anthems non-stop. Plus there are drag acts and theme parties for bears and the leather scene.

Atmosphere and crowd

It only gets really full after midnight, and people dance until the early hours. The crowd is mostly gay men and very mixed in age. If you come early, you benefit from happy hour until midnight and still have room at the bar.
