What makes the San Francisco LGBT Community Center special
The centre has operated since 2002 in the converted building on Market Street and offers many services for free. Programmes such as Queer & Well focus on health and belonging, and Queer Vibes gives artists a stage. The gallery is open to the public when no event is on. In 2026 the centre is campaigning against cuts to queer and HIV care.
Programme
Besides job support and mentoring there are health and culture programmes such as Queer & Well and Queer Vibes. Organisations can rent the halls at reduced rates.
