What makes Stonewall Columbus special
The organisation was founded in 1981 as Stonewall Union and since 2019 has worked from a centre of around 1,400 square metres. The programme ranges from peer groups and testing to culture. ‘Trans Talk Tuesday’ and ‘Stonewall After Dark’ with health services run regularly. In 2026 Stonewall Columbus celebrates its 45th birthday.
Programme
Stonewall After Dark runs on Tuesdays 4:30–9 pm and Wednesdays 2–7 pm, and Trans Talk Tuesday also meets on Tuesdays. In June Stonewall organises Columbus Pride, which according to Out x Out draws more than 700,000 people to the Short North.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for counselling, testing or groups
- want to get to know the community away from the bars
Not ideal if you …
- want to drop by at the weekend without checking the programme
