What makes PRIK special

PRIK opened on Spuistraat in July 2006, a few minutes from Dam Square. Since then it has collected several awards, including most popular gay bar in the Netherlands. The name says it all: cheeky, colourful and happily a bit silly, right down to cocktails with names like “Daddy’s Peach”. Prosecco comes from the tap, and there are toasties.

The weekly programme: Queer Gayming Night with consoles and games on Tuesdays, Trashy Thursday with nostalgic camp hits on Thursdays, karaoke on Sundays and DJs at weekends. It then gets so packed that guests spill out onto the pavement.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mixed and international, with many Amsterdammers in their late 20s to early 40s. Google reviews particularly praise the friendly team, the pitchers and the good vibes.
