What makes Piano Bar stand out
Piano Bar is in Vinohrady, the neighbourhood with the most queer bars in the city. It’s a cosy pub with a small menu, where people sometimes play chess or cards at the tables. Pop and Czech hits play in the background.
The bar is known for its theme nights: guests talk about drag shows, karaoke, bingo and Eurovision parties. Sunday bingo is considered a fixed ritual by regulars. There’s a happy hour between 5 and 7 pm.
Atmosphere and crowd
Guests describe Piano Bar as familiar and the team as warm. The bar is aimed mainly at the local LGBTQ+ community but explicitly welcomes everyone. If you want to experience Prague’s scene away from the tourist trail, this is the place.
A good fit if you …
- want to meet Prague regulars
- like bingo, drag and Eurovision
- want to start early in the evening
Not ideal if you …
- want to dance, as there’s no dance floor
- want to go out after 1 am
