What makes Badlands Saloon special
Badlands Saloon is in the Commercial Center on Sahara Avenue, an older shopping centre east of the Strip that is home to several queer venues. It is down to earth here: regulars, video poker at the bar and cheap drinks.
On Tuesdays Fanny D Pack hosts trivia, Wednesdays are karaoke, there is drag at weekends, plus bingo nights. There is a long happy hour every day and, as usual in Vegas, the bar never closes.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is mostly locals, often a little older. Guests praise the prices and the homely atmosphere. If you want to experience the locals’ Las Vegas away from the Strip, this is the place.
A good fit if you …
- want to get to know the locals’ Vegas
- want cheap drinks
- like trivia or karaoke
Not ideal if you …
- want to dance
- are looking for a young party crowd
