What makes Himbeerparty special

Himbeerparty has existed since 1999 and has taken place at Alte Feuerwache by the Neckar high-rises since 2003. The large hall has a single but all the fuller dance floor. In a visually separate area there’s a big bar.

The outdoor area is screened off from the street and is the best place for a conversation away from the speakers. Because the party is very popular, queues form at the entrance late at night.

Atmosphere and crowd

Mannheim is a student city, and because Heidelberg has little to offer queer people, many gay and bisexual men come from there to Himbeerparty. The crowd is international and young, with a notable number of women compared with other queer parties.
