What makes Village Bar special

Village Bar is on a small side street between the Naschmarkt and Gumpendorfer Straße, right in the neighbourhood of the 6th district where most of Vienna’s gay bars are found. The bar has existed since 2005 and is now freshly renovated and air-conditioned. At the front sing-along pop plays on the video wall, and at the back it’s a little quieter and more secluded.

On mann-liebt-mann.de’s visits the mood was lively every time, and even during the week larger groups of gay men stand at the bar. The crowd is mixed between 20 and 50, plus many tourists and business travellers on an after-work drink. Many guests are in a party mood, so it’s correspondingly easy to get talking.

Google reviews especially praise the warm team and the cocktails, and drinks come with popcorn. If you start the evening in the neighbourhood, you’ll often end up here first and move on later.
