What makes Red stand out

Red, listed on Google as Red Bologna, is an LGBTQ+ nightclub in a hall east of the centre. It is considered the city’s largest gay and lesbian club.

As is usual in Italy, the club is organised as an association: entry is only with a membership card, which you fill in at the till, so bring ID. On Saturdays the party Tunga Wild & Queer runs regularly with house, pop and drag, and in summer with an outdoor area and pool.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is young and queer mixed, many under 30. The friendly team at the door and cloakroom, the shows, the cocktails and the pool are praised. The club is also described as a safe space.
