What makes BEqueer stand out
BEqueer is one of the younger clubs in Gazi and explicitly sees itself as a queer place for everyone, not just gay men. This is Athens describes it as a club with theme nights and drag shows, which usually run once a week. The shows are home-made, each with its own theme, lots of humour and nods to Greek pop culture.
Musically it ranges from gay anthems and international pop to Greek hits. It’s open on Fridays and Saturdays, starting at midnight.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is young, queer and mixed, with many non-binary guests and people of every background. It’s usually less crowded than the big clubs. Reviews often describe the club as a safe space and praise the shows, music and atmosphere.
