What makes Apollo special

Apollo is on Pontstraße, the nightlife strip of Aachen’s student quarter. Under one roof it combines an arthouse cinema, a bar with a cocktail menu, the open-air Terrazza terrace and a club on two levels. It is not a gay club but a mixed venue where queer guests naturally belong.

The party programme follows a fixed rhythm: on Wednesdays from 7 pm a salsa after-work with a dance class, on Thursdays from 11 pm usually parties by RWTH student councils, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 pm theme parties from charts to the 2000s and 90s. The crowd is correspondingly young, with most guests between 20 and 30.

Apollo has hosted queer parties time and again in the past, but they are not listed in the current programme. It is worth checking the events calendar before going specifically for that.
