What makes Axel Hotel Barcelona stand out

The hotel is in the heart of the Gaixample, just a few steps from the bars around Consell de Cent and Muntaner. The main attraction is the roof: a pool (10 am–8 pm), whirlpool, sunbeds and the rooftop bar (1–8 pm) with a view over the city.

The wellness club has a spa (10 am–9 pm, one free hour with online booking) and a gym (7 am–9 pm). In the Groundbar on the ground floor there is a DJ set and a drag show every Friday and Saturday from 7:30 pm.

Atmosphere and crowd

The guests are mainly gay men from all over the world, but the hotel is open to all adults. The location, atmosphere and friendly reception and bar team are praised almost unanimously. By the rooftop pool it’s easy to get chatting during the day.
