What makes Axel Hotel Madrid stand out

The hotel plays with its building: columns, frescoes in the suites and lace curtains, combined with pop neon and eclectic furnishings. On the roof is the sky bar with pool (11 am–9 pm). The bar there opens Thursday to Sunday from 4 pm, until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays, depending on the season.

In the basement the hotel runs the Bala Perdida show bar, open Sunday to Thursday 3–11 pm and Friday and Saturday 3 pm–1 am. There is also a gym (7 am–10 pm) and massages by appointment.

Atmosphere and crowd

The guests are mainly gay men from all over the world, but the hotel is open to all adults. With the sky bar and show bar there’s plenty going on in the hotel in the evening, and many start their night here before moving on to Chueca.
