What makes Black Hart of Saint Paul special
The bar opened in 2018 in the former Town House premises and combines a sports bar with a queer stage. During the day and on match days games play on the screens, and big matches are shown as watch parties. In the evenings karaoke, trivia, burlesque nights, drag shows and dance parties alternate, and lesbian and Latine party nights are on the calendar too. Its own car park is a rarity in Midway.
Programme
The calendar is full every week: on Fridays happy hour bingo benefiting the Aliveness Project and karaoke in the lounge, on Mondays trivia, on Tuesdays karaoke, and at the weekend burlesque and drag shows. Some shows have a cover of 5–10 US dollars.
A good fit if you …
- want to watch football with a queer crowd
- like drag and burlesque in a small setting
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a dance club until the early hours
