What makes Bonaparte special

Bonaparte is right on the Grote Markt, opposite the town hall, and has been a bar since 1960. Since 1997 it has been run by Flemish TV presenter and DJ Dimitri Vantomme, who calls it “the place to be” in Antwerp.

It’s all about the party here: karaoke, sing-along hits, schlager and pop, and after the karaoke round the party carries on. The current programme is in the agenda on the website and on Instagram. During the week the bar opens at 9 pm, and at weekends it goes on until 5 am.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mixed: queer guests and their friends, lots of groups and travellers from the Grote Markt. Google reviews particularly praise the party atmosphere and location.
