What makes Darcelle XV Showplace special
Founder Walter Cole performed as Darcelle until his death in 2023, as the world’s oldest active drag performer. The ensemble and format continue under new management. The shows mix glamour, lip-sync and bawdy humour and are often sold out at the weekend. The audience is very mixed, and many come as a group.
A good fit if you …
- want to see classic drag cabaret
- are celebrating with a group
- want to experience Portland’s queer history
Not ideal if you …
- want to come spontaneously without booking on a Saturday
