What makes Frat House special
The Frat House is the last gay bar in Garden Grove and has a long history: founder Ted Heier documented local LGBTQ+ activism with more than 10,000 photos, and today his daughter Shelly Heier runs the bar. The decor is simple, with pool tables and a dance floor, and the drinks are cheap. A documentary about the bar came out in 2019.
