What makes HACO – Fukuoka Community Center special
HACO is a meeting place without alcohol and with no obligation to buy anything. There are free condoms, information on HIV and STIs, confidential one-to-one talks and a map of the bars in the area. On Mondays first-timers are expressly invited. Some dates are cancelled according to the calendar, so it is worth checking the website.
Programme
Sundays 5–6 pm silent reading circle, Thursdays 7–8 pm free English conversation group with a native speaker. On 31 October 2026 Undie Party Vol. 9 takes place, and on 27 November 2026 the City of Fukuoka offers free, anonymous testing at HACO.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for contacts without going to a bar
- want an HIV or STI test
- are new to Fukuoka
Not ideal if you …
