What makes Hunters special

Hunters is one of the oldest continuously operating gay bars in South Florida and has been on Wilton Drive since 1980. At the front is a video bar with a wall of screens, at the back a club with a large video wall, and above it a lounge overlooking the dance floor.

Wednesday’s two-step and line dancing is considered one of the biggest country nights on Florida’s gay scene, and beginners are welcome. Karaoke runs on Mondays and Tuesdays, at weekends DJs play club anthems and remixes, and on Sundays there is the classic T-dance.

Atmosphere and crowd

Easy-going and sociable: mostly men, locals and holidaymakers, many between their mid-30s and 60. It gets packed at weekends and for the T-dance, and is more relaxed during the week. Hunters has been named best LGBTQ bar several times by South Florida Gay News.
