What makes LL Bar stand out
LL Bar is decorated in 1980s style and lives off its shows: drag queens and go-go boys perform every night. In Google reviews, the show, the drag and the host’s humour are by far the most common topics. There’s no booking, dress code or VIP list.
On Saturdays there’s also the early-evening “Tardeo”: doors from 7 pm, show from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, and the ticket includes the show, a bingo card and a drink.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is mixed, locals and travellers of all ages. Shortly before the show starts it gets packed and cramped, and the atmosphere is loud and exuberant. The hosting is mostly in Spanish, but much of it works without the language. Afterwards it continues with pop and sing-along hits, and many move on later to the clubs around Plaza de Pedro Zerolo.
A good fit if you …
- love drag shows with lots of humour
- want something on every night of the week
- are out with a mixed group
Not ideal if you …
- need lots of space
- are looking for a quiet bar to chat in
- want to go out before 10 pm (except Saturdays)
