What makes London LGBTQ+ Community Centre special
The centre started as a pop-up in 2021 and is now a permanent alcohol-free meeting place. Groups and initiatives can use the space for their own activities. Visitors praise the safe space and the variety, from meditation to book clubs. As the café is run by volunteers, it is not always open.
Programme
There are workshops, talks, socials and support groups, many of them together with LGBTQ+ organisations. If you want to run something yourself, you can submit a proposal.
A good fit if you …
- want to meet queer people without alcohol
- are looking for a quiet place during the day
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a bar or party
