What makes Menjo’s Complex special
Menjo’s is the last club left from the 1970s Palmer Park scene. The 1976 disco ball still hangs above the main dance floor, and Madonna is said to have danced here as a teenager. Three connected buildings offer a dance floor, the leather bar Detroit Eagle and a stage for drag. On Tuesdays the in-house initiative ‘Beautiful’ hands out food and clothing to people in need.
A good fit if you …
- want to experience club history
- are looking for dancing and a leather bar in one place
Not ideal if you …
- want to go out during the week
