What makes Parrots stand out

Parrots is something like the living room at the entrance to Sitges’ gay nightlife street, on the corner of Carrer de Joan Tarrida. During the day and in the early evening, the large terrace is the front-row seat for anyone who wants to see and be seen. There’s brunch, pub food and tapas, and inside a classic bar with music.

The bar belongs to the Parrots group, which has run gay bars, clubs and restaurants in Sitges for decades and is a founding member of the organisation behind Sitges Pride. The Parrots Pub has already celebrated its 40th anniversary. There is no fixed weekly programme; drag queens and go-go dancers perform occasionally, and Sitges Bears Week kicks off here every year.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is colourfully mixed: locals, holidaymakers, couples and groups of friends, many coming straight from the beach. With over 2,000 Google reviews, Parrots is one of the best-known bars in town.
