What makes Pick Up special
Pick Up is one of the long-established gay pubs in St. Georg. The room is compact: to the left of the entrance is the bar with around ten seats on bar stools or the black bench, bathed in pink light. Erotic films play on a screen, and there are two slot machines on the right. Pick Up has no decor concept; it’s an honest corner pub.
Extratour is opposite, and Kunterbunt, Schatzi and the SLUT Bar are around 200 metres away. If you prefer something more upmarket, head to Bellini Bar or Kyti Voo on Lange Reihe.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is similar to that of the other bars in the station district: mostly a little older and very international, mixed with Hamburg characters and the curious. Because the bar is so small, you quickly get chatting.
