With around 1,600 square metres on three floors, PLUTO Sauna is one of the largest men’s saunas in North Rhine-Westphalia: a pool with counter-current system, hammam, steam labyrinth, large whirlpool and bar, right in the centre of Essen and open 365 days a year, around the clock at weekends.

What makes PLUTO special

The sauna is the successor to the former Phoenix Sauna. Facilities include a Finnish sauna with a panoramic window onto the pool, a sanarium, a hammam with a heated marble slab, an XXL steam labyrinth, a whirlpool of about four by four metres and a large pool with counter-current system. Upstairs there are cinemas, rest cabins and cruising areas, and on the ground floor a bar and lounge.

Weekly programme

Almost every weekday has its own offer: “Chillin’ Tuesday” on Tuesdays, Naked Fun upstairs on Fridays, and hourly infusions at weekends. For men up to 29 there are regular youngSTARS evenings with drinks credit. On Sundays masseurs work in-house, and in season AIDS-Hilfe Essen offers anonymous STI tests on site one Monday a month.
