What makes PumpJack special

PumpJack is on the Davie Street strip and opened in December 2000. Since a renovation in 2014 the bar is more than twice as big. There is pool, pinball, a dance floor with a go-go box and a small patio at the back. During the day sports are shown on big screens, Canucks games included.

At weekends PumpJack becomes a club with changing DJs and party series such as Jockstrap, Daddy Dearest and PUMP. The Sunday Kegger with cheap beer from 1 pm is legendary. There is a no-scent policy and an “Ask before you touch” rule.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mostly male, with lots of bears, leather guys and denim fans. During the day neighbours from the West End come by for a beer and a game of pool too. Guests praise the friendly atmosphere, the bar team and fair prices. It is busy at weekends and quieter on weekday evenings.
