What makes the centre special
The centre is run by a non-profit association with several hundred members and supported by the City of Kassel. Most of the offers are run by volunteers: from the open living room to sewing workshops and repair meet-ups to self-defence courses. In the kitchenette there’s tea, coffee and cold drinks for a donation.
Groups
Among others, Queers 50+, a Bi+ exchange, a group for queer and neurodivergent people, an A*spec meet-up, a Queer BIPoC hangout, a language café, menpoint for gay and bisexual men and the gay choir “Die Äpfel des Herkules” meet here regularly. There are also hiking and dance groups, crochet evenings and a BDSM tea room. For people who are new to Kassel there are dedicated dates in the open living room.
