What makes the Rainbow Center special
The centre is run by Rosa Lëtzebuerg, the LGBTIQ+ association active since 1996, which also organises Luxembourg Pride and publishes the magazine queer.lu. With the Rainbow Center, the association has created a permanent place in the city centre to make queer culture visible and offer a safe space for the community.
Programme
The programme includes exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, quiz and karaoke nights, film nights and open mics, plus meetings of various groups. A Sunday coffee-and-cake afternoon is aimed mainly at older queers but is open to all.
A good fit if you …
- want to experience queer culture and community in Luxembourg
- like exhibitions, quizzes or karaoke in a relaxed setting
- would like to make local contacts
Not ideal if you …
- expect fixed daily opening hours
- are looking for a club or bar in the classic sense
