Rosa Hilfe grew out of the “Rosa Telefon”, a helpline by and for gay men, in 1985. Today the association is a point of contact for all queer people in Freiburg and the surrounding area: with peer counselling, groups, youth work, bar nights and parties.

What makes Rosa Hilfe special
The counselling team works on the peer principle: queer people counsel queer people, for example on coming out, gender identity, relationships, discrimination or HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Parents, friends and professionals can also get in touch.
Groups and meeting points
“Bunte Jugend” offers regular meetings for queer young people up to age 23. There are also self-help and discussion groups, offers for queer refugees, an International Queer Café, queer bar nights and larger parties. The association is also active in cultural and remembrance work.
