The Texas Lounge is a gay bar dating from 1987 on 17th Avenue SW, known to regulars as ‘The Bunker’. It is behind the Model Milk building, right next to the sauna Goliath’s.

What makes Texas Lounge special

The Texas Lounge is a simple basement neighbourhood bar that has served Calgary’s queer community for decades. Guests appreciate the cheap drinks and the daily specials. There is weekly karaoke and occasional drag bingo. If you are looking for a dance floor and a young crowd, Twisted Element is a better choice.
