What makes The 3B special

In the scene, bears are burly, hairy men, often with beards. For them and their admirers there are only a few dedicated bars in Germany, besides The 3B mainly Woof in Berlin. The 3B opened on 1 April 2023.

Several dozen teddies hang on the wall, plus a black-painted ceiling, black bar stools, green light behind the bar and colourful lamps. The result is warm yet upscale, and it’s decorated to match at Easter or Christmas. A lot of heart has gone into it.

Atmosphere and crowd

Most guests are between 40 and 60, and almost all have beards. The core is the bear community, but all queer people and straight people are explicitly welcome, and the door is usually wide open.

The flirt factor is high: there’s a special sense of togetherness in this subscene, and you get talking quickly. The music stays quiet enough to have a good conversation.
