What makes Masquerade special
Masquerade is on Cumberland Street, a small lane in the Pride Quarter, right opposite the Poste House. It is a friendly bar with theme nights, cabaret, DJs and karaoke, with hostesses Angelic and Marlene leading the nights.
Drag queens, quizzes and gin come up most often in the reviews. There are parties around Eurovision, and many people celebrate birthdays here.
Atmosphere and crowd
The interior, the drinks selection and the team get praise. The crowd is mixed, mostly between 25 and 50. On Fridays and Saturdays it is open until 3 am.
A good fit if you …
- like drag and cabaret
- love singing karaoke
- are planning a birthday get-together
Not ideal if you …
- are out on a Tuesday, when it is closed
- are looking for a quiet pub – the Poste House opposite is the place for that
