What makes Thirsty’s RVA special
Thirsty’s became a queer bar because its regulars made it one. Today it’s a meeting place for many scenes: kink, nerds, bears, the trans community. Besides drinks there’s upgraded pub food, a terrace and a games room. Its location away from downtown makes getting there a hassle.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for a community bar with game nights
- like karaoke on Fridays
- want to get to know the local scene
Not ideal if you …
- want to bar-hop on foot from downtown
