What makes Daniel’s Company special
Compared with the pubs around it, Daniel’s Company has a more stylish setting. Much of the interior is made of wood, red fairy lights and disco balls on the ceiling create a party mood, lots of mirrors make the room look bigger, and lantern-style lamps make it cosy.
The square wooden bar is the heart of the place. Even on your first visit you’ll quickly get chatting here, and newcomers soon feel welcome.
Atmosphere and crowd
Here you’ll meet gay men of all ages, mainly middle-aged. At weekends it gets really busy from about 1 am. Many people have a few drinks here before heading to the Dragon Sauna around the corner. Because the bar is open until mid-morning, it’s one of the few places for a very late nightcap.
A good fit if you …
- are exploring Hamburg’s scene for the first time
- want a drink late at night
- like a mixed crowd of all ages
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a quiet bar; at weekends it gets busy from 1 am
- want to dance; this is a pub
