What makes Pegasus special
Pegasus is on the first floor on Church Street and has been a fixture of the Village since 1993. Instead of a dance floor there are pool tables, shuffleboard, pinball and darts. On Mondays the Village Pool League plays here, an 8-ball league with teams from bars across the neighbourhood.
The programme also includes drag bingo, queer stand-up and open mic comedy, trivia and karaoke. Dates are posted on Instagram. There is no cover, and you can pay by cash or card.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is mixed, rather older and local, and the atmosphere pleasantly low-key. With 4.5 stars from almost 900 reviews, Pegasus is one of the most popular bars in the Village.
A good fit if you …
- want to play games and chat
- want to stop by at lunchtime at the weekend
- are looking for a bar with no cover
Not ideal if you …
- want to dance
- are looking for a young party scene
