BEGiNE grew out of the women’s movement in 1986 and is today one of the oldest women’s spaces in Berlin. It sees itself as a place for empowerment and encounter where racism, transphobia and sexism have no place.
Programme
The programme changes monthly: concerts from jazz to chanson, readings, cabaret, parties, quiz nights, clothes swaps and get-to-know-you formats. Self-help groups also meet here, and there is yoga and qigong as well as psychosocial counselling.
