What makes BackDoor stand out

BackDoor is in the Plaza Las Palmas shopping centre on Avenida Xcaret, just under two kilometres from the city centre and not in the hotel zone. Of all the clubs in the city, it comes closest to a circuit party: high-energy DJs, professional dancers and a party mood into the night at weekends.

The flagship is the drag brunch on Sunday afternoon, usually hosted by queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race. You need to reserve seats in advance. On Thursdays there’s Tequila Thursday, and on Saturdays drink specials. The biggest night of the year is the Saturday after the Pride parade.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is mainly there to dance, a mix of locals and tourists. As current information on opening hours is scarce, it’s worth checking Instagram before your visit.
