What makes Amsterdam Gaysauna special

The “Amsterdam”, also listed in guides as Clubsauna Amsterdam, is a piece of Frankfurt scene history: for more than 50 years the venue has welcomed guests in a villa on several floors, about a quarter of an hour’s walk from the main station. There is a Finnish sauna, bio sauna and steam sauna, a whirlpool, many cabins, lockable rest rooms, a darkened lounging area and the garden in summer. Massages are available Tuesday to Sunday from 4 pm (30 minutes €30), best booked in advance by phone.

Reviewers describe the mood as calm, friendly and laid-back, the crowd rather mature but open to all ages and body types. Food and drinks are considered fairly priced, and towels are included.
