What makes Bar Lola special

Bar Lola is in Friedrichstadt, a few steps from Graf-Adolf-Platz. Inside there are two areas: at the front the bar with upholstered chairs and dimmed light, behind it a room that becomes a dance floor at weekends. The ambience is more upscale than in the gay bars around the main station, without feeling stiff.

The crowd is very mixed: men from their early 20s to early 60s, plus groups of friends from the queer community. Google reviews repeatedly praise the creative cocktails, the team behind the bar and the relaxed atmosphere. Drinks come with popcorn.

The flirt factor is high, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when DJs play and the bar is open until 4 am. During the week from Tuesday, Lola is the meeting point for after-work drinks and long conversations at the bar.
