What makes K1 special

K1 is a gay pub and small dance bar in one, just three minutes’ walk from the main station. The decor is entirely pink and white, there is a small dance floor and in summer tables outside where regulars sit until late in the evening. As one of the few places in the city, K1 opens every day from 4 pm and only closes in the early hours of the morning.

The crowd is mostly between 35 and 60, and many have known each other for years. Prices are well below the Düsseldorf average: Altbier or Pils in a 0.2 l glass costs €2.30. Only drinks are served, there is no food.

On Fridays from 10 pm it’s Karaoke Night followed by an after-hour, with singing from the small dance floor. On Saturdays and before public holidays Party Night XXL runs from 8 pm, and on Wednesdays from 10 pm to midnight there’s two-for-one draught beer.
