What makes the hotel special

Belle Epoque is a small, personal hotel in an Old Town building on Gerechtigkeitsgasse, furnished with furniture and art from around 1900. Bern Welcome describes it as one of the smallest four-star hotels in Switzerland. GayOut lists it among the city’s gay-friendly hotels, and Bern’s only classic gay bar, Comeback Bar, is practically around the corner. Ideal for a romantic weekend in a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Rooms and amenities

The 16 rooms and the junior suite are individually designed, with Wi-Fi, TV and kettle. Breakfast is served in the café or on the arcade terrace, and during the day there is a small menu with tarte flambée, salads and wine. Guests praise the charm, location and atmosphere. Some rooms are small and old-fashioned, and you shouldn’t expect a lift or parking right at the hotel in the Old Town.
