What makes COC Café special
COC Café is the clubhouse of COC Haaglanden, the regional branch of the Dutch LGBTIQ organisation COC. People drop by for a drink and a chat, eat at the eetcafé or stay for one of the parties.
It also hosts rehearsals of queer choirs, discussion evenings and meetings of various groups, for example for young queers, older people or autistic LGBTIQ people. Local guides describe it as a relaxed café for meeting people, not a party venue.
Atmosphere and crowd
Guests praise the welcoming, safe atmosphere, cheap drinks and friendly, often volunteer staff. The crowd is a colourful mix of all age groups.
