What makes Einfachso Pilsbar special

Einfachso Pilsbar is one of Nuremberg’s long-established gay bars. For years it was on Klaragasse near the main station, and in autumn 2025 it moved to Wodanstraße in the Gleißhammer district south-east of the old town. The owner is Martin Urban. The rainbow flag shows you where you are from the outside, and inside you can be who you are.

The ambience is rustic and homely, with brick, wood panelling, upholstered benches and lots of bar stools at the counter. Changing exhibitions by various artists hang on the walls. If you’ve always wanted to be a DJ, you choose the music yourself on the screen. Only drinks are served, and at low prices.

The crowd is more gay than queer mixed, mostly around 60; many speak Franconian and are deeply rooted in the city. It’s easiest to get talking at the bar. Once or twice a month there are karaoke nights, with dates on the website.
