What makes Grand Slam stand out
Grand Slam is in the middle of Doyama and explicitly geared to international guests. The bar is elaborately equipped for karaoke, with a light show and fog machine, plus dance parties and events. Karaoke is the most common topic in reviews.
As in many bars in Doyama, the first drink is a set with small snacks, after which you order individually. Especially at weekends, it goes on into the early hours.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is of mixed ages, and you quickly get talking, even without Japanese. Guests praise the warm welcome and the team, who immediately include newcomers.
A good fit if you …
- are in Doyama for the first time
- like karaoke
- are looking for company without speaking Japanese
Not ideal if you …
- are out on a Sunday or Monday
- are looking for a quiet bar to talk
