What makes Kinky stand out
Kinky is on the corner of Calle Amberes and Paseo de la Reforma, on the edge of the Zona Rosa, Mexico City’s traditional gay district. The three floors play different music, from pop and reggaeton to electronic sounds. There’s also a glass karaoke bar and drag performances.
The crowning glory is the terrace at the top overlooking Paseo de la Reforma and the Angel of Independence. It’s open from Thursday to Saturday and gets really busy from midnight. During Pride week, guest DJs play.
Atmosphere and crowd
The crowd is young, sociable and in party mood, Mexicans and tourists alike, and the club is reliably full at weekends. The view, the music and the variety between floors get praise.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for a big night out with a view
- want to switch between different floors
- like karaoke and drag
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a quiet bar
- want to go out Sunday to Wednesday
