What makes Le Phare special
Painted with street art outside, cosy inside with wooden chairs and a counter: Le Phare feels like a neighbourhood café with a queer heart. People drink house cocktails, beer and wine at comparatively fair prices. In Google reviews the bar is among Geneva’s best-rated queer addresses; the friendly team, the drinks and the relaxed atmosphere are praised.
Good to know
On some evenings DJs play, and then it gets livelier. The “Le Phare Enchanté” party nights are known to be exuberant; dates are announced on Facebook. In summer much of the action takes place outside on the lane.
A good fit if you …
- are looking for a relaxed, mixed queer bar near the station
- want to sit outside on a quiet lane in summer
- like art and an alternative atmosphere
Not ideal if you …
- are looking for a big dance floor
- expect a men-only bar
