What makes Oscar stand out
Oscar Bar & Café is on Regnbuepladsen, Rainbow Square, right next to Copenhagen City Hall. At lunchtime and in the early evening it’s mainly a café-restaurant with home-made smørrebrød, burgers and cakes. After the kitchen closes, the bar takes over.
Weekly specials, such as lasagne or cheesecake, are posted every Tuesday on Instagram and Facebook. Larger groups can reserve a table.
Atmosphere and crowd
In good weather guests sit outside on the terrace and watch the bustle on City Hall Square. The crowd is mixed: gay men, groups of friends, couples and many travellers starting their first night in the city here. At weekends it gets busier and louder in the evening.
