What makes Sahra stand out

Sahra is one of the older addresses in Beyoğlu’s nightlife. Across two floors there’s music, drinks and drag performances; things only get going shortly before midnight and wind down around half past four. At weekends it’s packed.

A drinks menu with prices isn’t published anywhere. On the current situation: in June 2026 the authorities in Istanbul had the long-established gay bar Tek Yön closed, and in mid-September 2026 nationwide police operations followed against LGBTI organisations and meeting places, with 26 people arrested in Istanbul alone. Whether Sahra was affected is not documented.

Atmosphere and crowd

The crowd is very mixed: lots of travellers, plus locals and drag queens who are part of the evening programme. Guests praise the music and the relaxed way you’re left in peace here.
